Neo launched as a business email suite designed to help businesses establish an online presence with a professional email. Initially, we bundled a basic, free one-page site builder with the email offering, though it had limited capabilities.
🗓️ May 2024
We launched Neo Site Builder V2 with rich templates and advanced sections like products, services, galleries, testimonials, and more.
🗓️ Aug 2024
We added AI-powered site creation, enabling users to generate and publish a website in minutes with just a business description.

With the site builder now fully developed, we wanted to bring more businesses into Neo. Since businesses either start online with an business email or a website, we introduced Neo AI Site Builder as a second entry point, alongside the existing business email option.
🎯 Goal
Our goal was to increase Neo’s subscriber base by introducing Neo AI Site Builder as a new entry point, targeting users seeking a business website.
⚡️ Hypothesis and Validation
We had a good AI Site Builder product
Validation - 95% of the sites published had given us a 5 ⭐️ rating
There is demand for business website
Validation - Previously we targeted only users looking for Mail. Of these, 85% visitors did not have a domain, and hence no website too. And of those who had a domain of their own, 60% do not have a website.
Site had inherent viral potential, but its viral loop was under-optimized
Validation - Previously, when business email users published their site, visitors who clicked the "Made with Neo" footer link were directed to the Neo Business Email homepage. Since these visitors primarily needed a website, requiring them to sign up for a business email first created friction, leading to lost potential customers.
